The Bone Daddy Diaries: Day Four
Dawn of the Final Day: 24 Hours Remain.
Hey, everyone! Final day before I donate!
Alfre was thankfully able to come over and spare me the dread of performing my own injections today, and I promised him that I would redeem him to you all by proving he was there for me this morning.
Took my final two injections (thanks, Alfre) and continued my regular workday afterward. Cleaned up the apartment, ordered dinner (did not feel like cooking), and headed to the hotel.
Yes, Be the Match offered to cover the expenses of an overnight hotel stay for me since I have to be at the donation center at 7AM. The hotel, a cute Holiday Inn, is located next door to the center and has a beautiful Astrodome view.
I came prepared: Clothes for tomorrow, toiletries to be all fresh, and an alarm set to give me enough time to scrape myself out of bed and be there by 7.
Gosh, y’all. It’s almost over!
I’ll be back tomorrow with a post-donation blog, and perhaps a follow up sometime after that… guess you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled!
Alright, so back to the daily pain barometer of, Do I feel like I can go to the gym?
I didn’t go to the gym today. Physically, I feel like I could have, but I didn’t have the time. However, I don’t think I could have done the three-mile walk beforehand. The hips are a little too achy for that today. The weightlifting would have been alright, though. I think. The trouble is standing up after sitting for any extended period of time. The past few days have made me much more prone to lightheadedness upon standing, plus a few moments of heavy discomfort in the hips and lower back, especially if I begin walking immediately upon standing. The sensation dissipates quickly, however.
To recap those side effects for Day Four:
Discomfort in the hips (worse than Day Three)
Discomfort in the lower back (worse than Day Three)
